The 2010 Chinese Year begins in mid February on the New Moon of the 14th and is the beginning of the traditional Chinese calendar. The size of the Chinese population probably makes this calendar the most followed in the world.
The New Year begins a new Zodiac animal cycle, the Year of the Tiger.

2010 - Time of Radical Shift

I feel compelled to write this article about what we astrologers see coming and that is that we are in the beginning of a very unique time in history that will redefine the foundations of our lives.
The astrological circumstances are uncommon and very dramatic. Change is likely to affect every level of our being, even though each person will feel it differently and in varying degrees of intensity. I’m writing this article so that you may make better use of this time and understand what it is about.
As astrologers we are aware of cycles that affect our existence and because this coming cycle is very unique, I feel it is important to share this information. I will try to keep it simple and not burden you with excessive details.

The Mayan Calendar: An Astrologer's Perspective

What is the Mayan calendar anyway? What is the meaning of its end? And does western astrology confirm the 2012 end date?
The Mayan calendar is based on elaborate calculations and only after much research did historians finally agree that the current cycle began in 3114 BC and ends on 21 December 2012.
